One of the best ways a mentor of mine has trained many of us to overcome the recession is with the use of joint ventures/strategic alliances. How is this accomplished with others? By understanding a concept known as incremental profit.
What does that mean?
So many businesses want to have the entire profit all the time. Business is a team sport. Doesn't it make sense to work with another business, tie in with their contacts by providing the value you can and then work out a fair and equitable split?
That is the essence of a joint venture!
Team up, create value the other business does not have and do this over and over again.

Ocean City, MD
A few weeks ago, we had the unique privilege of attending four wonderful days in Ocean City, MD. The weather was great and there were a variety of activities we were involved with such as swimming, shopping, going to restaurants and truly enjoying ourselves!
With two children and their parents along, we made sure they had a great time as well and they did! It was an experience that we will always remember and are looking forward to coming back again soon!
Additionally, I visited the Chamber and Visitor's office and learned much more about this area. Laura Beahm assisted me with what is going on in Ocean City and her time and expertise was very much appreciated as I was learning more about this beautiful area! A business she discussed among many was the Atlantic Office who promptly returned my calls and I was able to meet at their site.
Their philosophy: Atlantic Office offer an alternative for small businesses and non profit organizations. We provide a professional atmosphere for those needing office spaces, business machines and accounting services at an affordable price considerably reducing over head costs of operating a full service office.
I met with Paula Willison as well as speaking with co-owner Cindy Cathell by phone and both of them were very helpful with ideas and information on the Ocean City region. They have a great concept in our current economy and are located at 12449 Ocean Gateway. Their phone number is 410-213-2245. Give them a call and you will be pleased that you did!
